About Lorri
September 10th, 2010
Like most artistic personalities, Lorri finds true joy through many diverse expressions of creativity and is fascinated by “the only real GENIUS of creativity – GOD.” Her belief is that it is in Him and through Him that humans are all called to create. Whether this expression is in singing, songwriting, worship leading, choir directing, painting, graphic design, photography, jewelry making, sculpting, poetry, or dancing – the master of it all is an amazing God of love and splendid artistry.
Lorri’s mission and ministry is to chase after this creator and find out what He is doing and to “somehow express these things on Earth.” Her prayer is that these artistic expressions, no matter what form they take, will be honest and pure and portray the characteristics of God that have uniquely been given to her to express.
Lorri was born in Atlanta, Georgia but would relocate to Jacksonville, Florida at a young age. She always had a passion for singing and for artwork and these passions would continue to grow as she did. From church choirs, ensembles and high school rock bands, to private art lessons, Lorri continued to follow creativity wherever it would lead. This eventually landed her in the Graphic Design program at the University of Georgia. Torn between music and art, Lorri graduated with honors from UGA with a BFA in graphic design, but she soon would return to music, her first love, through singing, directing choirs. writing songs, and singing/recording in a Christian rock band.
She has served on staff as a music minister for several churches in the capacity of children’s and youth choir director, young adult ensemble director, band/orchestra director and worship leader among other things. Currently she is the worship and youth leader for Manifest Ministries, a Morningstar Fellowship Ministry based in Birmingham, Alabama. She continues to sing, write and record songs and psalms as the Lord leads and also paints and designs in her spare time. Lorri is available for ministry, concerts, leading worship and worship “arts” conferences as well as intercession and songwriting seminars. Please don’t hesitate to contact her at info@lorridresbach.com for more information.
